http://www.jalopnik.com/cars/novelties/hoon-of-the-day-sportbikeretrofitted-smarts-157584.php Smart car with a GSX-R powerplant.
thats pretty cool, isnt that kind of like the T-Rex cars? only with three wheels. They should have thrown teh 'Busa engine in it.
I'd rather have it in the smart coupe body. I drove one of these in italy, it was frickin awesome for a sub 100hp car this is what i ended up driving in italy, it was more sensible than the coupe:
It's one of those little european city beaters. The ones that get like 80 mpg or something like that. Glorified golfcarts really. I love when fuel economy, and practicality in general, are thrown completely out the window like this. I often thought it would be cool to open a golf course with carts that behaved like that. I know that around the 14-15th hole, I'm completely fed up with golf and usually I turn to cart antics and heavy drinking (actually, the drinking starts at the first hole and is a catylist for the latter behavior)
I've driven quite a few smarts (even the topless fortwo, which is insane, doesnt even have doors) and I actually love them despite initially hatin the fortwo when it came out. the forfour and the coupe are the only ones that dont feel dangerous on the highway though. gotta love the parking though
yeah the fourtwo isn't the best smart if you ask me, but it is the iconic one thata's easy to park. I wouldn't be suprised if they got rid of the roadster, because the opel tigre twin top and peugeout 206 cc are doing a lot better in the same market. oh why don't they sell either of those in the usa either?
