Hey all, Better pics to come soon, but I'm a DAD! My first son, Max was born this afternoon at about 12:30! Mom and baby are doing great! He weighed in at 7lb, 5oz, and is 19" long. This is our first, and we are absoltuely extatic. -Ted
Congratulations Ted! Best of wishes to you and the family, so when are you going to get the little guy out on the lakes?
I'm not sure, but I doubt it. We get discharged from the hospital at about 1 on Saturday, and I need to make sure my wife is doing ok, but more than anything, all I want to do is hang out with my son. He's about as big as a Chipotle and wrapped up like one.
Yeah, I didn't think I was going to, but I had my face right there and saw EVERYTHING! It's not a glamorous experience, but it is truly amazing. I got into the room and pretty much everything I had in mind before I got there went away.
ha ah ah FOIL SHIZZLE...understandable pops congrats on the baby and hope to see ya out and about soonnn
HA HA HA thanks Josh! The pushing was going slow, so I started to tell him about how we moved the ice hosue on Waconia last night into 16-18 feet of water RIGHT on a mud/sand transition just outside of some nice cabbage, and marked some decent perch..... my wife just rolled her eyes, but it must have motivated him - that's right when things started moving! :cheers2:
Yeah, we've got pretty much everything a baby would ever need. He's the first grandkid on either side and we have LOTS of friends that gave us a lot of their old stuff. We registered for one of those travel station things where the car seat snaps into the base that you jsut leave in the car. I've had a base in both cars for about 3 weeks. I don't think the hospital lets you take him without a car seat, and I'm pretty sure they check it to make sure it's installed correctly before they let you put him in.
"The Recaro Smart baby seat is specifically designed for children weighing between 30 and 80 lbs." It'll be a little while until Max needs or can use one of those.
congrats! I remember my 3 yr old baby brother when he was born. I was the first in the family to see him. Ahh, it was exciting. Its weird but in the family, there's only me(21) and my baby bro, 3 yrs old. At least he knows how to say "SUBARU", hehehe
Thanks guys, you are all awesome!!! I'm heading back to the hospital now and will be heading home 2x a day to let the dogs out so I'll log on and try to get some better pix up and give updates. All the contratulations are TRULY appreciated. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! -ted

Congrats, eh! My wife's cousin told us shortly after our son was born that we were starting the best 12 years of our lives.
Congratulations! My wife is due late August, which will be our first as well. I'm already anticipating Recaro's 2008 infant car seat...
