I'm back!!!!!! Updated pics! ****Real pics added post #34**** I just got home with my new 95 L coupe future swap victim!! 160k miles, 1.8, 5 spd, awd, runs great just drove it 3 hours home! The bad... passenger side valve cover leak, messed up hood latch, cracked windshield, TAN INTERIOR BOOOOOOOO. The good... great condition, came with pro-drive springs and hakka rsi tires, oh and COMPLETELY RUST FREE!!! The car spent most of its life in washington state and as far as i know they dont use salt on their roads this thing is in great condition for a 13 year old car! And all for just 1700 bucks Huge thanks to my buddy meng (mengo_charged on here) for road trippin with me to get it. I just got home I'm tired my flash doesn't work on my camera and my garage has crappy lighting so this is all for now...
good deal bud, glad all you guys are realizing you will never get away from subarus now. You got a steal on that car!
long drive.. I am sitting in a hotel in Orlando waiting for the dealership to open so I can go buy my new Subaru... Congrats...
Someone please hurry up and total your wrx and let me know when i can pick it up... Just don't hurt yourself (or any drivetrain components)!!
You think that's nuts. Rallysti, driftin240, and I drove 32 hours straight, to Tennessee and back, to pick up Rallysti's car.
Theres a full wrx drivetrain swap just listed on craigslist today! I wonder if its anyone on here. Too bad they want 6000 for it though I've seen complete salvaged wrx's go for less. And thats including suspension, brakes, and interior which is all stuff I'm gonna want. I think I'll pass on this one...
good buy! now everyone is getting the same car I have. you had better get those tires mounted on some gold wheels. then we can do the green/gold photo shoot.
indeed! 2 > 4 I hope you enjoy the new car. Also congrats on no rust, its alot of work to keep these things clean. mine just started to get pain bubling around the a-pillars :-(
You got me there. I don't think I am even going to drive it really as is. As soon as it starts warming up a little I'll start tearing it apart get the motor/tranny out and all the interior out. I'll have to start looking for a swap car soon also. I really don't plan on having this project done any time soon... I need to finish off my garage and build a workbench and shelving and stuff too before I cover the entire place in torn apart subarus! So yeah don't be expecting much from me any time soon

I've been kinda watchin that site for the last couple months. Thanks for the heads up though. I've seen guys on nasioc and rs25 get some crazy deals on totalled wrxs so we'll see what I end up with. That STI isn't a bad price but I'm definitely not gonna be able to afford that. After just buyin a house last summer and I've been buying too many "mods" for that! My goal for this car realistically is 280-300whp with crazy suspension and brakes. All that with 2600-2700lbs or whatever it ends up at will be plenty of fun and doable on a 2.0L setup. If I can find an 06 2.5 swap for a good price that would be even better. Forester/Legacy is kinda out because I want to use the wrx interior too. I'm not looking to build a 500hp gt35r monster (not for a long while anyway). If I wanted to go as crazy rediculous fast as possible I'd stick with bikes. Any one else know any other good sources for salvaged cars? besides getting out the phone book and going down the list.
^ the dealership/insurance auctions. Some times you can get some really sweet deal on wrecked cars. but you need to know people to get in or be a dealer.
I've talked with Matt (bikerboy) already. Once I get more serious I'll talk to him more about the auctions and stuff.
That was my old wrx, had it for a couple years and sold it to a fellow member here you might be able to figure out which one.
Hahaha... Better pics please! I want to see a couple out in the sunshine.(The L!) <<Not your car Chet!
I just washed it up as best I could for bein the middle of winter. Its got its usual dents/scratches for a 13 year old car but I cant find rust starting anywhere! The hood is kinda fubared but thats gonna be goin anyway. I'm gonna jack it up in a while and see how the underside looks. Heres some pics straight out of the car wash. Oh and again... BOOOOOO TAN INTERIOR!!!!!!
haha nope it was right behind the space aliens restaurant on 65. I got it washed quick at the new holiday there and then just pulled over to dry it and take pics quick before it got dirty again.
