ok here's the what happened... 1st gear roll, boosted, shifted at about 6500rpm and attempting to go into 2nd, it doesn't go in, then i hear a huge clunk and a very loud grinding noise, and continues with a loud clicking whenever clutch engaged... does not drive and very difficult to get in any gear
what do you think it could be? clutch pressure plate??? gears in tranny???
i'm not too familiar with transmissions, any help would be greatly appreciated thx

It could be the shift fork due to being hard going into gears.

Sounds like you munched something in there. Definately gonna need to come apart.

Since you say you hear a clicking when clutch is out tells me it might be gears. They are all spinning when the clutch is out, whether you are in neutral or not.

I don't think it would be a center diff problem. That usually isn't the first thing to go.

If you broke a shift fork, although unlikely, you should be able to get into other gears like 4th/5th.

    What car do you have?

Take the plug out of the tranny and see if you find teeth.

ouch. could be gers or could be a diff thing.

3 miles huh? trailering would be best, but if not you mightbe able to drive it but you risk further dmg.

as for upgraded parts you can go with the RA gear set which are stronger then the USDM set. or you could get something PPG.

I had that issue on my previous car...and it was the Clutch itself...but if u say the pedal feel, feels the same and it is pulsing. I'm thinking it is the tranny itself...I'm not planning on install my PPGs yet...probably for another 2 months...I can sell u mine first and I can order another one...But it is a hefty price for it though...

what were your symptoms? do they sound similar?... i'm not entirely sure... i did move it a little today the clutch does feel a little soft... i can only get it into gear if i slowly release the clutch and put a lot of pressure on the shifter... what exactly happened when you f'd your clutch? wanna shoot me a pm on the price of those gears thx

i hope that's the case... it tends to lock up every once in awhile when in gear but not always... kinda like something is floatin around that keeps gettin caught up in the rotation
