I was just offered a chance at getting the N1 (resonated) for 650 new/shipped. I have been looking at some exhaust cause i need something other then stock and i wanna be able to enjoy the boxer rumble. But i dont was it to be redic loud... Is this a bad exhaust then or do you think it would be perfect?

A lot of people love it. I just did a up pipe and down pipe installation for a person and they have an Invidia N1 catback.....it sounded good. loud- yes, too loud- no...you will feel and hear the rumble. I believe the n1 catback comes with a resinator in the rear exhaust pipe. that will help keep it civil.

I thought the SPT's catback was nice, not too loud but you can hear the rumble nicely.

I have the race version(non resonated) and it sound awesome but for most people yeah its too loud. Now for that price, I got mine through CVR Motorsports and they have it shipped for $525 Or contact MnSubaru member ImportImage(Josh) and I'm sure he'll hook ya up better than $650.

It is 650 for the Turboback... the V2 dp is included with that price. Also how is the droning... i travel a decent amount and dont want something that is going to get annoying?

you'll have a highway speed drone even with the resonator, but when you are at WOT you'll be in heaven. :yumyum:

If you really don't want any highway drone, just get an axleback. It rumbles nicely, doesn't drone at highway speeds, but you still hear the rumble. I just chopped on a fart can from fleabay and its pretty decent. (Temporarily, of course)

I love the sound of the N1. I have the resonated system, and it has no annoying drone. My Mom even says it sounds nice...

Well, if mom says it's nice, then it must be nice!;)

...it's a good system and I personally feel out of place in a wrx without any sort of drone...rumble and sound FTW!

One thing you should consider is future mods. If you install a catless downpipe and maybe up pipe your Invidia N1 will then stand out and attract attention. My Apexi N1 resonated CB (Slightly deeper rumble) and catless up/down cause people to double-take on the freeway. My girlfriend will NOT drive in my car for more than a couple hours.

Heck, if you want more rumble while keeping the sound at a minimum just get yourself a STI muffler from someome on here. they are cheap and easy to find

does a catted dp make that much of a difference? Looking that way does helix mate with just about anything?

it makes it more expensive, but unless you are making ultra mega hp you wont notice it

the catted pipes are for those california people with emissions. you will gian like 2hp from going catless on a after market DP. it is nice since many people are worried about passing emissions and this saves them the hassle. but it is also more $$$$. i have teh catless helix and i love it.

as for the N1, it is pretty loud. it is bearable on the highways. if it really bothers you day to day just put the silencer in it. then take it out on the weekends :)
