I think that it was actually 2020. Covid was our last member. And because of our comorbidities, we died.
I only joined like a year ago. was too busy scouring NASOIC and then IWSTI and clubwrx. a lot of content seems to be pivoting to Facebook pages. wrx & sti owners, Subaru mechanics and 08-14 wrx/sti owners. some decent content. but mostly "my car has XXX miles and these mods, which oil should I use."
Facebook killed the forums…lol. I still like coming in here every so often to see what kind of oil everyone’s using. And blinker fluid! I always run out of that stuff.
Turns out blinkers are sealed from the factory and they ship empty. You have to drill a hole in the top and pour the fluid in before first use. That's why bulbs burn out so fast. Who knew?
yeah, the registration is broken, along with the search and a few other items. The only reason this site is up and running is because I threw it on a raspberry pi I had sitting around and got it running. IF there is a real interest in "fixing" some of these items, I can try and work in some time to look at it again. Also, if you know someone who is trying to get a account activated, I can manually do it, I just need to know screen names and email. Russ
My only request would be to fix the "new posts" feature if at all possible. If not, no biggie. And thank you sincerely for keeping the life support going.
The site is running on a Raspberry Pi? Okay, that's impressive. I think it would be fun if registration were fixed; you never know when someone might show up and contribute something valuable. But also, spammers. Your call, based on what you want the site to be, I guess. I'm just glad it's still here.
