    Hello
Thank you for your interest in my car.
My name is Joel Silverman, the owner of the Impreza.
I really hate to let it go but I must sell and what bothers me most is that I need to find a buyer over the Internet. I hope to take 8g's for Impreza.
However, this is the only way I will manage to do so since I recently moved to Czech Republic,Prague due to work and family. Furthermore, I am a fresh daddy and I just don't have the time to enjoy the car either way (my loss is your gain). I know it may seem quite difficult to complete such a deal, but I can assure you that my intentions are very straight and serious. I don`t have relatives in the States anymore so I had to bring it with me. The car is still registered in the USA and if I`ll sell it to an American it will be easier for the both of us. I realize that the price is a little below Blue Book value but if I will try to sell it locally, bringing it to Czech Republic requirements, bodywork modifications and registration will be extremely expensive and nobody will purchase under these circumstances.I suppose that this means good news for you as the vehicle is in pristine condition, clear title, no dents or dings,no scratches and it has the original color too! Always adult driven and garaged, never abused or raced, it hasn't even seen rain! I want everything to work out well for both of us. I will take care of the shipping and handling because I understand that nobody will pay for it since I am the one fettered to sell overseas. I have posted it as being in US, since this is where the sale has to be consumed. Please respond to my e-mail if you think we can make a deal.
    Respectfully,
    Joel S.

Then this is how he said the payments would go down.

    Matt
Hello and thank you for your reply,
I want to inform you that the final price for the car including shipping to your location and insurance in case of damage will be $ 8,000. Sure , you can pay half before start the shipping and half after you'll receive the car.
Also, you have nothing to worry about this deal because will be done it in a secure way.In order to finish the transaction will use AlertPay.If you did not hear about them here are their terms:
    1) If you will receive the car not as advertised, AlertPay will refund you the whole amount which you paid me(100 %).In case that you will not receive the car, they will refund you the money back from my account.
    2) You can send the money to my name and address but you will not provide me the details of the payment. You will provide the details to AlertPay.They will verify the payment and if is ok,and the money are available under my name they will notify me to proceed with the shipping. After you receive and see that the car is the one you want, you just notify AlerPay to forward me the payment details in order for me to pick up my money.
Let me know if this is ok with you,so that we can go forward with this deal! About the payment AlertPay will manage in my place the financial details.
    Regards!
p.s. I need your full name and shipping address in order to contact AlertPay and start the deal.

sounds kinda fishy. moving to czech and brought the car with him? he coulda left it with a friend (i assume he had ateast 1 friend). or could have sold it to the dealer. shipping a car over seas must blow for shipping. also wouldnt you think that the czech would have less leanent vehicle laws?

the whole deal with it in a different country does give a good feeling about it. i would steer clear. but thats just me.

+2 scam. Recently, the scam artist I showed interest to into buying an STi for a fraction of what its worth in Ebay only spoke about transferring the money out of the country--just like what this guy is trying to do.

He says it's stock and hasn't ever been raced but the engine bay pic shows a red cold-air intake going into the passenger fender. lol! What a dumb scammer.

If they are that concerned about reassuring you how safe the transaction will be, you can be sure it isn't a safe transaction.

#1 sign (OK maybe number 2 or 3) of a liar/cheat/scam is providing waaay more details/info than needed.

    SCAM.

Why even ask? Crap like this is posted all the time on the motorcycle boards. Anybody dumb enough to fall for it gets what they deserve.

That dude's on a roll. He erased all comments in the guestbook that accused him of scamming and kept all the comments that people has posted about how great of a deal they're getting. Don't worry though. I went back in there, double-posted scam comments and reported him to the moderators.

I think what you need to do is find out who this person is. You can arrange a meeting with him and my two friends Heckler and Koch.
