If anyone can find more info on these rims for me I would really appricate it..oh all this info I found on http://www.take1.us/wheels/nippon/wishbone.html

Now the guy I am buying them from is convinced that they are +50 the offset...And I really didn't know how to explain the importance of offset to him...I guess I hate having the wrong offset becasue of my old rims which were +40...So those according to that website are +45...

What do u guys think...Also look at the weight difference to the stock..??

If you're on a mission to get these wheels, a +45mm offset will work as long as the lug pattern is 5X100. +48-53mm is the group standard, but slightly off of that isn't going to hurt anything.

I could be wrong, but I beleive the stock 16 inch wheel is around 16.7 pounds, so you're adding a fair amount of weight and you need to take into consideration the weight of the tires as well since 18's will weigh more.

Daily driving you won't notice a big difference, but your car will feel a tad slower from take off to due the increase in unsprun wheel weight. My 18's are kinda heavy as well...topping the scale just under 21lbs each, but I don't track the car so I don't care.

Offset? I've personally haven't heard too much on a 50 offset in an 18 wheel. I think it would look kinda funny if they are actually 50 offset. People get confused with offset, there's a good article on tirerack regarding offset. does he have the original box or receipt? that should tell him what offset they are. Or maybe it's labeled on the inside of the wheel? Did the seller have them on a wrx? any pics on the car?

bottom line...if they are 18 x 7.5 with 5/100 pattern and 45 offset they will fit and look fine. And if you like them and the price is right...go for it.

also braking will be slightly harder being the rims are heavier.

BTW...if you scrap the idea of used and go new Wheelmax prices are flexible. I bought wheels through them and simply told the guy to drop 100 off the price and I would give him my card #.....it worked. they even threw in tuner lugs and ss valves for free (I didn't know that until I opened the boxes). oh, plus free shipping...

when thinking about offset, think opposite.

    bigger #s - in
    littler #s - out

This wheel is made in a 5x114.5 lug pattern and a 5x100 lug pattern. If they ship you the wrong lug pattern, the wheel will not fit onto the wheel hub and the studs will not slip through the wheel for you to screw on the lug nuts. Make sure you buy the correct lug pattern and the correct offset closest to +48mm. Good luck.
