Just about to leave for the doctor. Sara and I are going to find out if it is a girl or boy. I can't wait! I felt the baby kick for the first time 2 days ago and it was one of the coolest things I've ever experienced. I should be posting pics later.
just wait till you see the ultrasound.. it is truly amazing the detail and parts it has at the size of a grape..
How many weeks is she? I'm 23 weeks and had my ultrasound three weeks ago. We're having a girl. Boy names are way easier than girl names.
If it's a boy, I have some toys left & a bunch of nice clothes you can have when you come up for the ice race. We were lucky and Riley never spit up or got his clothes dirty so everything is in really good shape. Let us know asap cuz I'm planning to bring everything to donate on Monday otherwise. Just wait until Sara is further along and you will be able to watch the babies movements just by watching her stomach. Hopefully she won't get kicked in the ribs too much like I did! And something neat that is supposedly a medical link now is if she gets a lot of heartburn toward the end of the pregnancy, the baby will be born with a headful of hair--it was true in my case.
Here SHE is!:eek4: Wow was she ever active. We got to see her yawn, point, stick her tongue out and we even caught a smile. That was amazing.
Sara is 21 weeks. Thanks for the offer Karen. My sister has all sorts of stuff for us. Now everyone needs to help with a name. Not Ben Slocum. We didn't have any girl names picked out at all.
that's hilarious that you got a pic of her pointing!! I'm glad to hear everything looks good! I'm sure you'll come up with a good name. My son was suppose to be Jonathon until the day he popped out and I asked Rich what he thought of the name Riley. Although Rich probably would have agreed with anything after seeing a child being born lol! Are you going to be one of the dads in the delivery room or waiting out in the hallway?
lol...Rich didn't have a choice---I figured he'd appreciate everything more and have more pitty on me if he saw me go through that
Not giving up any of our good girl names until we've settled on a final one for our little girl on the way The ultrasound is an amazing thing from a psychological perspective. Somehow seeing the baby makes it seem suddenly much more real. Even though this is our second time around, the ultrasound was still a very emotional thing for me. This time I got to sit there and explain the pictures to my 3-3/4 yr old son too.
I thought that I would be there but not involved in the delivery and things change when you get into that room. I had a strict rule about staying north of the elbow, but that changed quick. It's amazing.
like I told my buddy when he was getting ready for his first kid.... Go to Home Depot... get the Biggest industrial ventilator you can find... the smell is something that takes days to scrape of your nostril lining... but well worth every moment... heck even after 4 I couldnt NOT look... kinda like an accident.. you look wanting to see carnage but not see the mess...
Sara is in labor. Contractions are 4 min apart. Almost time to go to the hospital.:eek3::eek3::eek3: Holy crap!!!
