so after fidgeting with the computer for about 3 hours trying to figure out why I was connecting / disconnecting... unable to read... able to read. I found my trouble. my tactrix cable appears to have failed at some point in the short time I've owned it. I'm sure it's just something as stupid as a solder point, or maybe a cable is a bit loose... but I don't want to take a chance and lose my ecu if it decides to fail on me in mid flash. i'm a little hard bummed right now.
at least you didnt fry your ecu! then id be bummed for sure..sorry for the bad news tho,but i COULD be worse
wow, over reacting much? how much is one of these cables? The last sti ecu i sold was upwards of $700, count your blessings.
meh, i'm just irritated. it was one of many things that irritated me yesterday. I bought the cable for a reasonable price, and now they are about 150?
For the new cable they are Sean, do you see yourself doing logging with out a comp? If not buy a used cable I saw one floating around here for $70 or so.
i'm temped to crack it open and see if I can fix it. mean time.. anyone have some free time so I can use your cable for a total of 5 minutes? I wanted to throw on a new map.
