    My suggestion would be:

    Option A

Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 $98 shipped
    245/45ZR-16 94W B
    Specifications:
    Treadwear: 280
    Traction: A
    Temperature: A
    Speed Rating: ZR

Kumho has derived the new ultra-high performance Supra 712 from their track-inspired, race winning technology. Featuring the latest in tread compound development and tread design innovation, this tire will make your car handle like it's "on rails."

•Advanced directional tread design delivers superior acceleration, braking and cornering grip.

•New silica tread compounding provides excellent traction in all road conditions while it enhances wear.

•Two wide steel belts and nylon cap plies deliver high-speed stability, excellent cornering power and stable footprint for better wear.

•Large lateral center channels provide effective water evacuation and hydroplaning resistance.

•Available in a wide range of sizes from 15" to 18" and profiles between 35 and 55 series.

    Option B

    Falken GR Beta FK-451
    245/45ZR-16 94Y B
    Specifications:
    Treadwear: 280
    Traction: A
    Temperature: A
    Speed Rating: ZR

Exotic looks, style and performance are keys to the new GRB FK-451. Deep lateral grooves and directional tread deliver great curb appeal as well as excellent wet traction. A new tread compound steps up to deliver the dry traction you want. Integrated sidewall ridge protects your rim investment. Available in ultra low profiles at surprisingly affordable prices.

•Two wide center grooves enhance wet traction and minimize noise.

•Wide steel belts and jointless nylon caps protect the tread, stabilize the tire at speed and deliver long wear.

•Sidewall is stiffened by high ply turn up and stiff apex bead rubber for better cornering control at speed.

•Special silica compound delivers excellent wet and dry handling.

•Z speed rating. Available in ultra low profiles.

My next set of tires would be the Yokohama ES100's again. They are quiet handling tires that lasted me about 30,000 miles and didn't squirm when I tested their potential from time to time. Go to Tirerack and read the reviews on the tires. Based on those reviews, the Kuhmo Ecsta 712 tires were the worst. Go figure...? :)

I don't know a single person who has owned a set of Ecsta Supras and bought them a second time.

If they make Kumho Ecsta MXs in that size I would recommend those.

Let me add to this discussion that the ES100 tires, being the hard compound summer tire they are, follow grooves on the road. You'll be fighting to keep the car going straight on a bad freeway/street. This groove following slowly goes away as you put more miles on the tires though. I'm uncertain how other summer tires react to this "groove following" either, but take it into consideration on your next set of wheels if you plan to do mostly city driving.

I got those Yokohama AVS db S2's, and I am happy with them. I got all seasons because I am lazy and I will probably get new rims for track tires :p. But even rated as crapy as they are for winter I have only had 2 days where they were a little too slippery. All in all I am happy with them. Good grip / hydroplan resistance. Maybe once i build up a little stash affter the cryo brakes, and tires for the NSX I will have some money to get tires/rims for the track.
