Have any of you guys delt with anyone that you would go back to and buy again? I'm trying to find a good 1.8 turbo JDM motor for the 86 XT and get it back on the road. Not having to much luck. Places say they have them till you call and then no.

Garage tuning and East Coast swappers can get you just about anything, but you'll have to wait for them to ship it into the states.

I would most definitely work with East Coast Swappers again. They are great guys and take good care of their customers.

Can you get a 2.0l JDM motor and drop it into the XT?

he's not talking about getting a jdm motor to swap in. but a low-mileage stock replacement.

you're best bet would be to ask on the USMB.

as for a swap. I've got a nice '96 impreza bulkhead harness.....find a motor to match it and an adapter plate (highly recommend the stuff made by www.sjrlift.com these days). and we'll get you set to go.

I remember you talking about this a while back. Looks like you've made some progress. Working on old cars is great fun, I can't wait to get started on mine.
