JDM STI struts- question

    Ohhhkay, I'm actually puzzled by this one.

    Rear JDM STI struts. they don't look like any JDM strut I've seen before, even V7's. Bottom spring seat is actually almost 1/4" wider than USDM V8 struts.

    Wider to the point that any spring I used to test fit on the strut didn't sit nice and flush compared to my V8 USDM strut. I used Cobb, RCE yellow, Eibach prokit, and a stock STI spring...none of which seated nicely in the perch.

    Has anyone else encountered this???? Or is this obvious and I missed the boat big time on this one??:ugh:...:laugh:

    Looks like my old V5 struts....if my memory is serving me correctly (which isn't likely).

    did the V5 have the closed loop bracket for the brakelines? These do....
