Knock Sensor

    Well twice this month I've thrown a knock sensor CEL. I have an 02 2.5RS with about 50K miles. Anyone know if this is a common problem? I was told this is one of the sensors that typically go bad on subarus. Should I just replace the sensor and see if it throws a CEL again? Any help appreciated.

    I'm not completely certain, but I have an extra knock sensor off of my '04 WRX you can try out. I'm pretty sure that the RS/WRX ones are the same part.

    EDIT: I just checked mine, and the part number is 22060AA100

    Cool, I'll check tomorrow at work to see if its the same part #. I have one from my EJ22T as well but I'm pretty sure that one is different because its 10 years older.

    yea they are different part numbers, mine is 070 at the end.
