Took forever but it's finally done. Just need to aim them and I'll be all set.

It mounts to the bolts/studs for the bumper beam and I drilled and tapped the underside of the bumper beam to make sure there will be no bouncing. It's strong enough that I can stand on it and it doesn't move so I don't think bouncing lights will be a problem.

That's some serious stuff Dan! Looks great!

Might I request that you weld up a bracket for a BBQ grill to be inserted into!? It would be great for grilling at teh rallyx's.

Looks good dan. You need one to fill that gap in the middle now!

Do you have these hooked up just to a switch or did you wire them in to work with the high beams?

Just a switch. I like to be able to use them to supplement my low beams on the back roads.

Now that I have built one, more shouldn't be too bad to make. Fabbing the first of anything is hugely time consuming. Shoot me a pm if you want to get together to get something built. I'm working on making a wheel carrier for getting to the rallycrosses next I think.

    Nice work Dan.

You will really like the extra coverage for rural driving.

Nice work Dan! Love the new look. Now you look AND drive like a true rally guy (nice work at the last rallyx).

I added 2 more to the bar.

    Centers 500FF (driving beam)
Outer 500 (driving beam) The older 500's are less focused
The centers are pointed for distance, and I use the outer lights for cornering lights and spotting deer in the ditches on the back roads.

I'm really happy with this set up. Plenty of light and makes it much more enjoyable when working night rally stages or running the back roads up north.

Walmart has the 500FF's. I don't think they carry the older style 500's anymore. I found them on sale for $55. Usually they are $65
