Hey guys...I was looking for my old thread to post on but couldn't so I am starting a new one. Recently I have decided to go all the way to a new bigger and better turbo, the 18g. I have a list of everything and I got it all done except for a few small parts here and there. I am wondering what your guys thoughts are on two parts. I have already decided on a used MRT TMIC, 18g, Modified stock injectors, walbro fuel pump, hayden 403 tranny cooler, and a perrin turbo inlet. I am still up in the air about the big maf sensor from perrin as well, so I dont have to worry about maxing the voltage, but maybe that is unnecessary. I am basically asking you guys two questions now. I am stuck on deciding which BOV to get. I want a quiet one cause I dont want my car to be more announced than it already is so what do you guys think of modding my stock one like on scoobymods? If not what is another quiet one? I have looked for sound bites but can't find any. Secondly, what are you guys thoughts about sparkplugs? I am at 50,000 miles so they are going to be replaced soon anyways, so should I go a step colder and get them installed along with this stuff or get another set of stockers when my 60,000 check is done? I think I have everything covered once these last questions are answered. Thanks for all the help and sorry bout the new thread but I couldn't find my old one. Any input on my already decided stuff is welcome because I am always changing it and trying to decide

Well, you won't need the perrin big maf. At 21-22psi my maf voltage is around 4.7 or so, so I still have some head room. As for the plugs, make sure you go one step colder on the plugs.

stocker bov imo. you will still hear it, expecially if you have an intake.
no big maf with tmic. dont need it.

you might want to make sure you the correct compressor outlet pipe. my stock one was too short when switching from the vf39 to the 20g. also if you dont have new silicon y-pipes now would be a good time to do the swap.
i'm sure youve donw a downpipe already.
what are you using for EM?

Ok...no so no big maf then, savings of 200 dollars. I am getting the deadbolt 18g, supposed to drop right in. Could any parts store help me with the plugs or do you guys recommend a certain type? The silicone Y-pipe is coming with the MRT TMIC, its the one Trahma is selling. I got all exhaust parts covered so no worries there and I am running a AP. I wish I could use the stock BOV but isn't the boost pressure going to be high unless I do the mod? By the way, anyone modified their BOV locally or did most of you purchase a new one.

I have been doing some recent resarch while trying to find a store that carries everything I need in one place and rediscovered slowboy and their design of turbos. What are you guys thoughts on a SBR turbo instead of DB? DB is about 200 more over the SBR 18g. Any thoughts?

yeah on the y-pipes, with a larger cor, or maybe it was just how the 20g sat in there, we had to push the compressor outlet pipe over to mate up with the turbo. it was sitting on there with about 3/8's of the silicone on the outlet.
i just orderd a longer pipe from slowboy and trimmed it to fit.
chances are, if the y/pipe you are getting was on the mrt, you wont have a problem.

erik kicked my but with his slowboy setup. i dont think you could go wrong either way.
