Well I found out about a week ago that I will no longer have a job at Ultimate Electronics as of May 1st. They are shutting down there service department comapny wide. I am an electronics tech with 5 years experince. If anyone has any leads for me that would be great. 3 of the 5 years have been feild service positions, which I really enjoy, so any leads on those would be great too. I live on the west side of the cities, and would not be apposed to positons anywhere around the cities and north north/west of the cites, excpesially towards St. Cloud, Alex, Detroit lakes, or even as far up as fargo. Let me know if you need anymore info from me. Thanks everyone Bill [email protected]
Have you thought about checking out Halstead Electronics on 394? Maybe they might have something for you. Good luck man.
Wall of tvs: I just dropped a resume online to them. Thanks subaru4: circuit city as far as I know does not have a service center in the cities, it is down in St.louis Missouri (I think) Thanks though Keep the suggestions coming please.
Bill, another option you could look into is working at the service center for Best Buy (it's in Bloomington) fixing all the crap the in-store guys can't do. When I was with the Geek Squad @ BB, I had to work down at the service center for a few days -- and it was INFINITELY better than working in the store and dealing with a-hole customers all day.
Thanks wall of tvs If I go back to best buy it would be doing in home tv repair for them or working at magnolia doing home theater installs. I worked at the service center from 02-02 to 05-04
Bill, I know we were looking for a number of techs an they have hired a few. You will have to check the website for sure. www.goodrich.com I used to work for Brian L doing in-store and in-home service years ago for A K. Good luck. PM me if you find something or have questions.
Sorry to hear about your job, I'll keep an eye out for any opportunities that may interest you in your field.

What benefits do you provide for your employee? Do you promote within? If so, is it based on seniority? If yes, then your screwed. No use working above and beyond expectation. Just do what you need to get by. That is what I hate about companies that base it on longevity. I work twice as hard and the laziest person gets promoted. As a Manager/Owner I would always want to promote the person that gives me the best results and exceeds my expectations. Age and longevity doesn't matter to me. As you can see I take this, personally.
