So i had a used Cobb TBE offered to me and when i tried to get a hold of him he finally told me he already sold it. So i am now continuing my seach. I dont want a extremely loud exhaust (already had some problems with our SRT-4) but i still want something that draws some attention. As of now i am looking at Helix, Invidia, and HKS. Just wondering if any of you have had experience with any of these and would know which is the loudest or best sounding. Appreciate the help.

I have the invidia G200, it is a great quality exhaust...As far as the sound it is a lower tone then the HKS Carbon Titanium Tip. The HKS sounds like a honda where it doesn't have that lower rumble. I do not know much about helix, but I'm sure either one you pick quality shouldn't be an issue. I think the Helix is cheaper too out of the 3.

Go to firestone and listen to what others have for their cars. Based on that, you'll make a decision that you'll not regret.

jason has a HKS exhuast i think, and i think it has plenty of low end to it.

i got my catback made by nathan, at his mieneke, it sounded great. plenty of low end, no high end honda nioses. and best yet cheap compared to name brand stuff. i had 3" with a big resonator and a ebay muffler. good stuff.

^ some companies (ie TXS) sell just the axle back portion of the exhusat. so ou can rig up your own setup. this are kinda hard to find cause no one really carries em and not many companies do this.

I have the Invidia G200 TBE (bellmouth DP) on my STi and love it. Nice deep sound, no droning at any speed and it tucks up under the car nice too compared to some others I've seen.

This is out of content...but if you also add a Exhaust manifold i.e. GT Spec like I did...It will change the tone of the exhaust as well...After installing it, it sounded more free flow and a nicer rumble, rather than a *coughing* sound.

It's kinda funny, you;re looking at the three loudest setups available pretty much. The helix is almost an exact copy of the invidia and theyre both loud. HKS is loud too. Jason's (readymix) car was in my garage and it was literally 4-5 times the noise my car makes at idle, but it was very noticeable in there.

If you want quiet there are two exhausts made specifically for that. The Greddy Evo 2 and the MRT stuff. They're both more muted and pretty high quality, but they're not a inexpensive as the helix setup is. The borla hush sounds very nice, looks good and is also reasonably quiet as well.

I have an HKS and it NEVER sounds like a raspy honda...I really don't know what you are talking about Ray. The sound is so deep and loud at IDLE that I have to pull almost entirely out of my driveway before I close the garage door because the rumbling causes the 'magic eyes' to shake and re-open my garage door. Any raspiness you might hear is coming from my gutted third cat pipe. It opens into a stainless steel can space that the catalytic converter once occupied. Ever since I gutted it out, it has had a bit of a rasp during off throttle coasting.

The only times the exhaust sound raspy are when they're getting old, or are not warmed up yet. I can tell you that everytime I start up my car, it gets raspy around 3k and up. But when it gets hot like HOT HOT it's got a very NICE rumble to it, sounds completely different.

gah damn is sounds pretty after running a hot lap.

Im kinda stuck here. I feel that the Greddy is almost too quite. I love the low rumble so i guess i need to find something different (damn im picky). does the downpipe really make a different by brands. I understand there will be a difference with cat and bellmouth or divorced but other than that???? Any other ideas. I cant make it up for a couple of weeks so....
