My car has 26,000 miles on it and it has always run perfect, however, everytime i turn left and floor it, it makes a loud whining noise now. The more people that are in the car the louder the noise gets when i do it, but it never does it when i turn right. Any ideas what that whining noise could be?
I have the same loud whining almost like a screeching noise... Is it coming from the rear? I think its the wheel bearings. Or I had a friend with a similar noise that turned out to be the rear diff.
could be the wear indicator on your pads telling you to change your BREAK er BRAKE pads... but I just re-read your post and sounds like a wheel bearing... but I was gonna tell you to tell your B1tch to shut up (after reading the title) but....
did u get new tires or rims and tire combo, could be tire rub, but most likely a wheel bearing, or its your blinker fluid alarm, it could be low, have you topped that off lately?:laugh:
You didn't happen to implement a minimum post count rule for a classifieds section on your car did you? I've seen that cause all kinds of whining.
LOL, I was gonna say maybe Chet was in your car or something! But for real, I would agree with Nate and the wheel bearing...
My car is a 2006 STi bone stock except spt catback exhaust. The car doesnt make the noise if you turn sharp left while rolling fast, it is only when you are giving it lots of gas while turning left, could it still be the wheel bearing?
I never found out what that loud noise was but it turns out that i broke the metal bracket behind the engine that stops the engine from rocking back and forth. Once i replced that with a new one the noise went away. The guys at Subaru said they have never seen one of those break out of all the imprezzas. Has anyone ever heard of this?
Yup i broke the pitch stop and i have no idea how. I was really suprised when he showed me where it was.
