i have a low idle in my 02 wrx like below 1,000 rpm and sometimes my car dies in the morning or when i stop at a light. i have cahnged the oil and air filter, i also have an exhaust but i dont think it would be a problem. can any give some advice of what it is, or what i could do to fix it...
yeah it does. thats exactly pretty much what it does. the RPM's go up and down and the car runs rough. how would you check that
when i get em i just check the old fashion way. open the hood and look for disconnected lines. you might also try rubbing some soapy water on the line s then starting it. the saop should cause it to bubble where air escapes.
change your pvc, air filter, plugs, and btw a vaccum leak would not be able to be detected with soapy water, since its sucking, you cant create bubbles by sucking..
get soem engine starter in a can.. while it is running spray around your hoses etc... when it fires up higher revs it can usually point you in the direction of your vacuum leak... sometimes... reason is as the starting fluid gets sucked in it helps to fire the engine better.... blah blah...
do you think it could be an electrical problem or maybe even a fuel pump? thanks for the advice so far.
