Maintaining my car.

    Ive been doing a bit of hard driving latly and i just wanted to know what i need to be doing to my car to keep it running good.

    Well, following the maintenance schedule in your owners manual is a good start. I think there are notes in there on severe condition driving and what needs to be done sooner in that case.

    Otherwise just keep an eye on the basic stuff, fluid levels, filters, tires (pressure and condition), brakes, belts, etc... Regular visual inspections on your car can catch some problems before they get too expensive.

    If you give some more details on your car, (model, year, miles) and how you're driving it, other people might have some more specific suggestions.

    -Valvoline Synthetic Blend Tough Driving Formula...... every 2500 miles(engine flush if currently using basic oil)
    -Greased Lightning every 12,000 miles
    -Fuel System Cleaner
    -Check plugs
    -Check Fluids (tranny, coolant, etc.)
    -Check tire pressure, wear
    -Check air filter, replace/recharge if dirty

    this is just my opinion.... but i like synthetic for engines..... but i have never had good luck with running it in my tranny..... at all, and i drive hard (when my car is running)
