Has anyone ever masked off the headlights and painted them to get that 'lid' look? I would think that it would be better than the actual lids<<fitments are iffy.:dunno:

doesnt really work, my buddy tried it, the paint didnt hold real well and when there were small imperfections it shinned thru really bad.

well it could work well, but you would really need to spray like 3-4 coats to get a good cover, then to protect the paint from chipping you would need to run a few layers of clear on top... and even still, the problem is there just isnt as much for the paint to adhear to so it will have a potential problem with lifting, chipping, or cracking.

maybe two hours at most. waiting for the paint to dry is the the part that takes time. sure i can run to napa and get fast drying paint though?

Nope, I will next time though.;)

And Matt, I haven't seen any of your MY headlight lids, what do the 04/05's look like? Any pics? The ones for the bugeyes are very rounded and curved, the set I picked up were hard to get lined up correctly. I would think with your MY they might fit better b/c of the lines of the headlight, but I dunno.

Oh, I like them BTW. But is that STi pink/Cherry blossom red?

That's just too much pink for me. >_< The only reason I did pink on my calipers is because it's gonna look sick with my matching pink snowboard on my car.
