mileage? maintenence? I'm assuming '06 WRX from your screen name.

I've seen crappy spark plugs cause a misfire. but usually on older cars. pretty strange to have it pop up immediately after a suspension project. I wonder if a power wire got knocked loose or something.

I check diagrams and such, and see what those 3 have in common

95% of me says it I'd bad gas. Ive had that happen to me one time when I used holiday. I cleared it and it hasn't came back since. What type of gas do you regulary put it? If you have been inconsistent with not using the same fuel your ecu might detect some freaky action going on in your engine. Assuming you have been inconsistent; run this tank down to the last few drops until your gas light pops on than fill up with your regular gas and go to autozone and get that **** cleared. Presto! No more check engine light, if it comes on again start the electrical trouble shooting I.e. Spark plugs spark wires distributor and so on

I figured out what it was. The pcv valve popped off the intake manifold. Now it idles fine and the codes haven't popped back up since i cleared them. You think any damage could have resulted from driving it with the valve off for about 15~20 minutes? Car is a 2006 wrx w/vf39 and supporting mods plus protune. It has 50k miles on it.

that pcv would've made cel pop (i've had it done before)

also, 50k, getting close to changing your plugs, so you can wait or do them
