At the beginning of the week my car started misfiring. i was told to check my plugs and as i did there was oil in it so i changed the plugs, wires and the needed gaskets, seals. Same problem still going on and its still misfiring. Some recently done maitenece is clutch job, oil change, plugs, wires, gaskets. Mods are: ebay borla, gms catback, short ram intake with torque box. With or without the cel flashing, it feels really bogged down and at times would pick up for a second then go back to bogging. My guess is maybe bad MAF sensor or dirty sensor but would that be causing it to misfire? Havent had the codes pulled yet but will later tonight or tomorrow. Need some help here. Thanks
just as a general rule clean ur maf with the correct spray. That could fix the problem and even if it dosent if it wasn't done recently 9/10 u will see better gas mileage out of it anyway.
bump, doesnt seem to be the maf, as when i unplugged it while the car was still on it got way worst. my person couldnt find his code reader so until he does idk what codes are being thrown atm. also anyone who's willing to let me borrow you code reader will help alot too!
fixed the misfiring part. one of the main clips under the intake was loose. but now my (P1507)iac valve is not working and the screws are literally seized onto the throttle body and is starting to strip. any more simple way of getting this to come off?
soak them in deep creep and see if you can get them out. That or sea foam treatment may help the situation
I think that Fuji is recommending to grind the heads off and maybe appy some heat to the screws (a little penetrant might help also), then turn out the "studs", you might drill the heads off as well. It might not be a bad idea if you can to buy a spare TB and swap the pieces over so you don't have to work over the engine, and risk any items falling into the intake. Frogy
also after looking around the engine bay the other day also saw this. anyone know what it is? seems to be leaking alot...
