I think the reporter did a few sounds clips of people's cars.

the part that scares me is the "... and loud..." I see trouble in this future.

 

if anything I bet this would be a positive thing, people who listen to mpr would likely look at the car clubs as more of a passion like one should look at it, rather than a bunch of buzzbomb ricers that are racing around the streets with no regaurd for safety or the law for that matter.

anyways, I cant wait to hear what fuji said. I will be tuned in.

Yes, it is like any other air-waves thing..

For example... Channel 5 is ABC, but it's also KSTP. There's national public radio, but then there's local shows that play under the MPR flag.

What you all may or may not know is MRP has a lot of great shows that are played all over the US. Now i'm not gonna go on like taras, but yes, I am a NPR member. When I was living out in montana I was so disappointed at how crappy their local public radio was. We really do have it good here when it comes to the public radio. (for the 5% of us on here that actually listen to it)

 

Except for the hip-hop stations. For good rap, hip-hop etc on public radio go to Detroit. A dozen stations or more.

 

My dad listened to it a lot, which was nice because I learned something once in a while. I love that kind of stuff but I don't take it upon myself to tune in now that I'm on my own.

 

Maybe the Current can have his car in-studio and post it up on youtube. :laugh:
srsly that's awesome. I hope they cast the same positive light on the club as the fine St. Paul Police officers who stopped by FS last Sat. to tell us all to move on. "I wish all the humans we interact with down here were as cool as you guys. We like that you're just out to have fun and talk cars." or something...
honestly the only radio I find worth listening to is public/public supported. everything else is too heavily controlled by private interests. /rant
