Is it hard to do? Or are you just changing the opacity of the layers in photoshop to give it the effect?
You should let me know when your going out to take pictures I would love to tag along and check out your process if that's okay?
When I have done that I take two shots, one with the hood open, one with it closed, and just mask off the hood in the shot with it closed and lower the opacity while the shot with the hood open is the layer below it.
Learn how to do layers, change the sky in my pictures, and kind of just be able to mess around a bit with images!
I also do about 95% of my editing in LR. Only a few end up needed PS. Generally just ones that need multiple layers for adding/removing items.
Honestly, nothing much. Read through all the information about "Light Room" and it's really informational! It was my first attempt to edit my picture from a free picture editing website, forgot what it's called, and got what you see above.

I've been here forever it seems like, and never have posted in this thread. Here are a few from the Minneapolis Color run last year I think. Some of my favorite photos I've taken of people. Sorry, they're huge photos. Looking forward to busting out the camera again after graduation!
Thanks! I cannot recall if that was with a 7D or my 5D MKII. But lens wise it was with a 70-200 f2.8 and 50mm f1.4. It was mighty dangerous with the whole "paint" thing and I got a bunch of criticism for it, but ultimately the photos turned out really well I thought, and the camera is still in a full-functioning manner.
A little blurry and noise but wanted to try this out. I think I turned the sharpness up too much that's why the sign on the pillar is blurred.
Canon Sl1. I used a 55-200 F4.0 for that shot. Post processing in Lightroom and Paint.net for layering the color on the black and white. Either I turned up the clarity too much or sharpening to much.
Btw that pic is somewhat low resolution since I grabbed it from my Facebook to photoshop slender man in.
Nothing much to get. I originally did it for a coworker since he's obsessed with CreepyPasta stories. I told him I shot this random pic and the dude was in it. Basically faking a ghost in a picture. Still learning to use my camera. It's not the best but it's fun to play with.

I recently moved to Colorado Springs about a month ago and my brother in law is a member of the BMW-CCA. They do AutoX about once a month or so, so I figured I might as well go since I haven't done it since Proving Grounds last year. We raced in Winter Park, CO at 9000ft above sea level and the course was VERY fun! It had uphill and downhill and tight slalom sections that proved to be a little difficult. Not once the entire day did I hit a cone or understeer! (Suspension: Stance Coilovers, Whiteline center roll kit and anti-lift kit. 2.5 degrees of camber in front and 1.5 in the rear sitting on stock sway bars.)
Here's some of my recent work. I'm looking for people to shoot or shoot with if anyone is interested! Some from the past week.. Playing around with different lighting.. Got some work framed. 24"x12" from a recent trip to Chicago. Next print will be a 30"x45" on archivable paper with lamination. Can't wait! Ferarri F430 cruising around downtown Chicago. and one more from Lake Tahoe, CA.
^Negative. I think the quality of the CP filter really makes a difference. I have a 62mm B+W. For 3/4 shots I usually do a split 50/50 with the filter so it's doing all of the glass at once just not fully filtered. Let's go out and shoot!
