OK, I've been doing some editing, and enjoy it alot, soooo, I'm going to offer to make the video we've all been talking about.

So, for everyone coming on the duluth trip, post here so people can send up their vids

I have a gmail acct, so I can receive vids that don't come up then, but I don't want to have to download them.


so, here's the deal, find a pic/short vid, that really shows off your car, along with anything else you think would be sweet to show off your car. RallyX, Ice racing, Mudding, pics from firestone, you get the picture. Oh yea, and be sure to include your board name!


OK...since I got no less than ZERO vids/pics ANYTHING from you lowlifes that weekend, I guess you can start emailing them to me. address is Numbchux (at) gmail.com

Good idea, wish I had some footage of my car.

 

I have no video of my new car I will be bringing the cam on the Duluth trip so we can shoot some new video that weekend. Hopefully someone will have a passenger that can film on the drive up 8)

oh yea, and definately bring cameras when we come, get some cruising videos, some pics up on skyline drive.

if you're coming, and don't have any pics/vids of your car, we'll fix that!

 

my gf will be riding shotgun the whole trip. She can be the duluth trip cameragirl. I wouldnt mind holding the camera either, get some sweet shots. whats your gmail. damn this is going to be a fun trip. we need to find some roads to really tear it up.

chux, have any tires that would fix a wrx and work good in the dirt/mud..dont think the eagle f1's would work to good.

 

Chux, you really wanna test the AMD 64 dont you? its great that you stepped up to chop the video together. i will try to get the video from kloss when we went mudding that time (you know the time i almost ran him over).

i have some short clips from lake jane too bad the lighting is dim. i got a decent clip of Vic doign some doghnuts on the ice. i have pics from the install day, and part2 of fujis dougnut.

BTW: i was talking to erik a while ago and he had the idea that we should put some video (ie part of this thing) on those little bussnies card cds and stick on ppls subies.

There should be a bit more after the VF weekend on sat/sun. Most of the footage of my car is too crappy to really use in anything decent looking.

of course, if someone wants to borrow me a camera and a mount, then we could get some serious footage =]

 

tires that fit a wrx??? like with 5 holes in the wheels?? ummm.....no :lol:

I don't think we'll do any offroading up here, unless you guys really want to, but I don't know any good places that don't have tech/safety inspections....

and one more thing, if anyone's bringing a camera, bring the cable for it, preferrably usb if you have one, though I'm going to try to wire these firewire ports in before then, but that's way down on the list of things to do...first is make the dang car run....it'd be nice to get some clips of my car rollin with everyone else (more on that when I get ahold of the video... :twisted: )

martin, we have to get the vid where I ripped my rear bumper off...I bet that would turn out awesome!

 

Me and a friend of mine might make the Duluth trip, my buddy would be willing to video. I might even be able to barrow a vid cam from a friend.

 

I don't think I'll have the extra $$ laying around to pay for the gas all the way to Duluth. But, I will get some footage of my WRX and send it to you as soon as you post your email.

Oh, and I've been wanting to see what my DSM can do on the street before I sell it. So if anyone wants to go let me know. :twisted: (Yes, I will get that on tape also)

 

chux, so you have that video w/ the bumper? my collection is limited since i didnt have my digi then. whats required to pass the tech inspection? isnt that CB radio, tow hooks ect...?

i talked w/ spevinator tongiht bout the video and he might be able to do some post production on the video, if we want. he is teh master of pro-tools.

anyway i cant wait to head up there. i will put what i gots onto a cd or 2. i will also bring my usb cable.

 

See if you can score another cam for sure. Then we can make the most of what battery power we bring along.

 

I got ahold of a capture card, with firewire, s-video, or rca inputs....so video cameras are acceptable too.

if you're not coming, see if you can send the vids with someone who is. maybe give it to someone at firestone.

as for ORV park requirements...full DOT inspection: bumpers, CAT, seatbelts, etc. fire extinguisher, bolted on (with 1/2" grade 8 bolts or better) tow points, um....yea, and your cars would all bottom out on the bridge into the park....not to mention 38.50 for a sticker to get in

oh yea, and I have an inverter for driving around town...if necessary

 

hehehe everyone would be DQed at the cat part.

i will ask kloss if i can can borrow his cam, get some real video.

Hey guys,

If you do the video editing and get all of the footage you want with the transitions etc I would be more than happy to do some post production and bounce it down onto a DVD. I can do everything from importing cool music to just mastering all of the audio so it is consistent and appropriate volume. Oh and off course I can add funny sound effects!

 

I may have to take you up on that! we'll see when I get things put together...

 

bump, it's this weekend, let's try to keep this in our minds!

if you want you're vid in the movie, do me a favor, and try to get it to someone who's going. give them a cd at firestone on friday, or something!

also, I'd really appreciate it if as much of it could be put on cd's as possible, since I'm having hard drive probs!
