What trim t3/t4? any way you look at it though- I think you need a bigger turbo. Seems to me the rest of the car is just asking for it. Nice setup BTW.

Stock tranny though- might want to start looking around for an extra.

I am going to try to baby the tranny over the summer and maybe do a sti 6spd swap this winter. That is if I dont wreck the one I have. I am thinking about getting the gt35r but not sure yet. I dont know much about turbos, and I am worried about turbo lag.

well...t3t4 turbos aren't that bad..i'd say they're pretty good with most cars! spools nicely and plus you can boost more with them to make some good amount of numbers....i was planning on turbocharging my 3.3L impreza but..once it runs...im going to baby it..then get RA gears..then supercharge it instead......just want it more to be of a real beast! hahahHAHAHAHH!...and still look stock...sleeper...hehe...but yes..the t3t4 is good for right now..just get the biggest of the t3t4...then you'll do very good...

Please please please do NOT waste your money on RA gears. Andrewtech has had four blown sets in their shop at one time:eek4:

Lag is relative. A larger turbo, like a 30-35R just moves your rev range towrds the top end. Sounds like you built your motor to scream up there. Why not take advantage of it with a big snail?

The last thing you want is a turbo to run out of breath at 5.5k when your motor is built to run up top. Some people scream "a small turbo means a faster car". Could not be further from the truth. All you do is shift your usable power band to the right. Obviously, there is a limit, but it sounds like you won't be running a 42R anytime soon. If you spent that much on your longblock, it would be a shame to not take advantage of it with a properly matched turbo. Plus, its easier to get good milage since your turbo would not spool up at a retardedly low RPM. You *may* need a FPR to get a little more out of your injectors for a 35R, but you would not regret it.

What Link are you running? I'd like to see what Josh does with your maps.

Slowrs13 (Jeff), something seems to be missing from the list. I think it comes in a 10lbs bottle and it mounts in the trunk! :) Anyway ive seen his setup and it going to be one bad street car!

I think you meant to say a half millimeter over bore, not one twentieth of a millimeter over.
And just so you know, STi buckets are the same as WRX buckets ;)

I'm also curious about what the trim on your turbo is. T3/T4 means nothing really.

Like I said earlier I don't really know much about turbos, but I beleive it is 50 trim. Turbos are one thing I havn't really got into too much. I bought the turbo with a turbo kit a few years ago, I really didn't get to choose which turbo I would get.

If you are going to take time and correct everybody on their posts ill take time and correct yours. The 02 and 03 wrx had shim over buckets! I do realize in 04 the all went to shimless buckets, "but just so you know". And the turbo is a standard thrust bearing 50 trim.

there isn't a anyone that makes a 2.3 stroker kit. all you need for a stroker kit is a 2.5 crank.

Why does everyone try to correct everyone on this site. I am not misleading anyone. The phase1 2.5 crank is a n/a crank. You really use the sti 2.5 crank.

I THINK you are right Slowre13. I THINK the phaze 1 and phaze 2 cranks were to determine wether it was for a dual over head cam N/A or a single over head cam N/A. I know there is a lot of people on this board that know a lot more about subies than me, but be careful who posts on your thread cause some poeple act like they know more than they really do.
