I nearly put mine on a couple weeks ago, too. Now they'll go on Saturday when I'm out at Jeff's for an alignment. Last spring I put my summer's on too early and hit about 4 snowfalls with em. Good thing we got AWD or I wouldn't have been going anywhere!
Not looking forward to driving a diesel van on hockey pucks at night in the snow. Very looking forward to the drives home from work though. :biggrin:
I actually saw snow in Falcon Heights yesterday. Just a few flakes mixed in with the rain, but it was snow. My snows show up tomorrow, but don't go on my DD until the first week of Nov at the earliest.

Still holding out until the snow sticks before I go and slap on the snow tires. Though they probably handle better in the dry/normal conditions than these POS all-seasons that came on the outback. I just hope I don't have any problems with the stock FXT rims going onto the outback! -Steve
Temp is what I try to go by, but I also have to swap them at a time that I can make it in to have it done. Also, after hitting about 4 snows in my summers last spring I'm thinking I should err a bit on the side of caution.
I made the mistake of keeping my summers on a little too long, got stuck in a snow storm one night and crashed a couple years ago. It looks like it's supposed to get to 60 again Wednesday, I'm going to wait a bit to switch I think =)
bumpy bump, snowz are coming. Some parts of SD got 4 feet overnight. Of course, the weather people are predicting rain for us (laugh) :laugh:
well think about it this way....its bound to get cold. we live in MN. so if it is going to get cold would you rather have wild winds rip across the plains with no snow? oor have a **** ton of snow since its cold anyways.
i'll take the wild winds, that means it will blow all the snow out of the yard and drift it up by my garage = insulated garage!!!
id like the snow to come..i never tried snow with AWD before with actual snow tires... my last subie had FWD hahaha
