motor mounts

    are they just strong plastic or are they actually metal?

    they are made from wood!!!! again if you use this amazing contraption called the internet... EVER HEARD OF IT??? oh wait you are on it when searching the forum.. oh wait you don't search....


    basically most 'MOST' motor mounts are made from steel that is superhumanly glued / molded on either side of a dense rubber (for cushioning)


    If you have a look under your car sometime and see the thing that basically your engine sits on then you will get an idea...

    or go to ask.com and type it in a search engine or google or yahoo or anywhere....

    subaru put on these different motor mounts onto the early 06 sti and they were made of some crap, it was suppose to be better than the regular mounts, but they were busting left to right, so subaru started putting the regular mounts back on
    no they are not as strong as the regular mounts
