hey all, since my cats are toast and i dont want to have any of that cat material loose clogging up my exhuast i think it is time that i finally take the plunge and get a catback. i am gonna have Nathan whip me up one at his shop. i am just curious as to what muffler is should get. any opinions? has anyone heard the apexi n1 universal muffler? let me here your thoughts.
Magnaflow's sound pretty sweet, at least in videos. Are you getting a high flow cat pipe made as well?
Nathan is going to take off my Magnaflow off on Sat afternoon and put a stock WRX on my 02 RS. If you can make it over there, you can hear my magnaflow or just listen to his.
^^Nathan has already offered for me to check out his magnaflow which i plan on doing when i get a chance. ^moxy i dont need another stock muffler laying around.
get some apexi exhaust thats what i have on my drift project 87 mazda b2000 sounds nice on a little truck i am not sure they have any for a subie
^ they sell the universal muffler, so i can get a custom catback made w/ that muffler. it seems alot of people think that the N1 is way too loud. also people say that you loose some boxer rumble with it. anyone have any input on this?
my buddy had a universal n1 on his wrx axle back(cut and weld) he actually misses it because it's so loud and the apexi one right now isn't loud enough for his taste :S "loose the rumble" -huh.....fuji has a n1 on his car...the rumble, i think, got louder
ok how about this... hammerbeck w/2.5in pipes... brians sounded amazing... i know that jeff can still get them and brian is coming back in 2 months... i wanna get one for sure i loved it when i had mine
personally i wouldn't buy a universal muffler, i had one on the white car for a bit and it was too raspy, on a na car, like on my red one i had full straight pipe with 2 resonators and it was loud enough but not bad at cruising speeds, and i definetely had the rumble on a na car. 2.5in piping
corrected.... we did a straight pipe unless he added a muffler... I just basically bent a peice to go under the axle and straight out and added a flange from memory...
