I’m trying to install spring on a mustang 2 front end, and I’m having a lot of trouble. There is about 12 inches of compression between the A-Arms and if I try to lift the lower on with a jack the spring bows. I have also tried 3 different types of spring compressors in combination with the floor jack.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

I called the company who we bought the suspension kit from and they said that until the full weight of the truck is on the springs they will look a little bit bowed.... 3rik I do agree with you but when you have a choice between leaf springs with a solid axle or a IFS I would choose the IFS... There are not many options out there for a 1952 Chevy 3/4 ton :).... Anyone who wants to come over is more than welcome... we Picked up the new body last night and it is a heavy turd. We need to lift it on the truck so we can cut a tranny tunel in it.
