Well to make a long story short, my girlfriend drives a VW Beetle and I can't stand working on it. Everything takes 3 times as long on that car because it always seems like you need a specialized tool for each little task. After putting on a new oil pan for her I bought her a little present from Rainbow. The funniest part is the excellent grammar used by the Rainbow employee!

Funny! Just tell me she isn't one of those VW drivers that always has flower on the dash. ;)

No, I don't think it would work out very well if she did. She actually used to AutoX it with me all the time!

That's the funniest part! Both of the apostrophes are completely uncalled for!

Instead of ripping her a new one for owning the car why don't you go buy her a subaru or something you like to work on?

That is definitely the future plan. I would love to get her a Legacy as soon as possible...

Awesome! My girlfriend yells at me if I take a turn too fast for her liking when I drive her Jetta, she thinks I am being "mean" to it, lol.

Yea the front lip is still missing! It makes it a little easier to fit the jack underneath. I miss Autocross a ton, sorry we haven't been there much this year. We will be back as soon as we get back on our feet financially. You will see me at least watching at the last MOWOG event. See you there.

Once my dad came with me out to where i practice on gravel. He kept reaching for the "oh-****-handle", but i'd removed it earlier that week. Afterwards he said his hands hurt from grabing hold to much.

They also never let me drive my mothers S2000 anymore.

Thanks guys, I definitely do appreciate my awesome girlfriend. She loves to snowboard and wakeboard with me also. I couldn't have found a better girl since she gets excited about the smell of hot tires!

My wife HATES riding with me in the M. She doesn't mind the Leggy (yet) because the suspension was so shot that I couldn't drive it fast. That's all changed now.

I drive her car pretty sanely. Something about the A6 Wagon that does not inspire spirited driving. I'm so calm behind the wheel of that thing... scary.

I think they would be nice once you got used to all the "interesting" ways they do things. They are just so much incredibly different from any car I have ever touched.

I have only worked on subies, so evrything else is strange and different.

all engines should have 4 cylinders and be horizontally opposed. none of this I or V crap.

What you don't like vagcom? Thats one of our new toys. Talk about being able to datalog. You can talk to every module, sensor, and adaptation. Yesterday we just reprogrammed my one tech's A6 to have the windows roll down when holding the unlock button on the remote. Also nothing like checking knock readings, maf grams, ignition timing per cylinder.

8 valve crap sucks. Nothing like screwing with a fuel distributor. And screw working on suby unless your doing something like transmission or suspension work. Motor work sucks when its in the car. IMO
