So, you take any thickness plate, any material. Use two M10 bolts which will slide down where the passenger headrest goes. I used 200mm long M10 bolts with the hex head cut off. Acorn nut on top, jum nut on the bottom side. The middle camera bolt is 1/4-20, which is the standard camera thread. Need a washer and 1/4-20 jam nut on the bottom too. A piece of self-adhesive foam on top to pad the camera. Voila! Ajdustable angle camera mount. Height can be adjusted somewhat by slicing a thin nick across the M10 bolt for the headrest lock to engage. The threads on the M10 bolt might even be ok without the nick. The video is actually fairly steady. The screenshot above shows the field of view with the mount all the way down. For Autocross, the camera should be as high as possible, so you can see the cones closer to the vechicle.
