I am so excited. I have to tell people that might actually care cause my friends sure dont share my same love for cars. I finally ordered a Cobb AP for my car. I am so excited to get it and feel some power behind my car. Got my rear sway put in last weekend by Fuji, which I am greatly appreciative of, and the improvement is amazing. Now I just have to put in my front to get the full experience. Think ima be happy for awhile now that I got my AP but soon as I get a chance at a TB exhaust I am gonna be all over that or should I get the TC mod since everyone who has had it done lives by it

I know that is what I should do. I really want to but it was hard for me to pass this up as it was 500 brand new. I dont even have a spare TC right now that I could get my hands on to send in and I dont feel like purchasing one, sending it in, and then replacing and having to sell again. I herd there was one floating around the boards somewhere that I could use for a little while but I figured until I can get the money and have it on hand I wont worry about it cause I aint launching my car regularly so I dont see the reason to buy one. Prolly just make it through the winter then at the beginning of winter if I have made enough cash over the winter then do it. Just tough to get all this in cause my parents arn't to keen on modding my car

Warning: I'm hijacking the thread... :D

I think it would be better to send your ORIGINAL TC out to be modified. (I've had one be incorrect. Bummer to find out with the TC out and then find the modified TC doesn't fit.)

I could pull your transmission on a monday, send your ORIGINAL TC to Pro Torque and have it back in by friday. Just an option. :)

I thank you for the offer and may consider it since it is the summer and I wont need my car nearly as much since I am in school and what not. How much would the total cost be? I have asked around a little bit and found a ProTorque TC for a 02 or 03 4EAT. What would I have to worry about? Arn't teh TC on the 02-03 the same? Are the different sizes or something? Ya got me worried now about buying one that has already been modified. The guy is saying 600 right now and it sounds like a killer deal since a modified one is already 500. No downtime and I could sell my stocker for like 250-300 prolly so I would make some money back. Maybe I should just go your route and give ya the build since that would make things much easier. The only other reason I would like to hold off would be that I would like to get a tranny cooler at the same time so I know I got nothing to worry about

The one that did not work I suspect came from a JDM import.

I've only had the wrong TC once... but it cost a weeks time and then the guy was sitting on a TC he couldn't use.

A trany cooler is a good idea. So is synthitic fluid.

Well then I just gotta be sure to do research. I would like to do it all at once so I dont think it will be anytime soon but if I can save up the money maybe in the spring I could have that installed, gauges, TBE, and other little things I hope to have bought by the end of the winter

Your welcome dude and you spoke too soon. I ramped a curb last night while taking a turn and busted up my back left tire so my car will be down for awhile. I dont have that good of luck with subarus when winter comes around. So yeah if you wanna give me a couple of bucks for that sway bar now that would be great

Yes very sad but no one to blame but myself. I was being stupid and thought my car could handle it. My back end whipped around on me and I ramped the curb going backwards, damaging my wheels. I went through some guys yard and bumped into a tree busting in my right rear taillight aswell as right rear quarter panel. It is all being delt with but yeah...I was a f***ing idiot last night and there is no one to blame but myself. Please hold back any comments that you might have cause I have arleady gotten enough from my friends, aswell as plenty of lectures from my parents. Worst part is that she will be down for awhile since my father is gonna make me pay him back to fix it up, so that I get taugh a lesson which I agree with, and I have to go to court and figure out what my punishment will be which is still up in the air. All I can say to the rest of you is be smart and never, I mean NEVER, get cocky with your car cause you can lose it very quick. I am extremely lucky that I did not hit anyone around and only damaged a persons lawn, which I am paying for aswell. Be smart the rest of you and learn from a kid who has screwed up instead of learning for yourself and losing your sube

It is refreshing to see somebody actually stand up and take responsibility for their actions. I'm glad that the only things that were hurt were a patch of grass and somebody's ego.

Yes, I am very glad about that too. I do not know what I would have done had there been a car there, any sort of person be it adult or child. I prolly would not have been able to drive again just out of my own guilt. I must say however that I needed something like this for a wake up call. PLEASE PEOPLE, SLOW DOWN THIS WINTER AND THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE YOU TRY TO IMPRESS YOUR FRIENDS. TAKE IT TO THE LAKE IF YOU WANNA HAVE SOME FUN, NOT ON THE STREETS OF MINNEAPOLIS OR ANY CITY!!
