T3h F4st4r!!!ONE!! IIRC, the stock Neon SRT-4 was quicker (in a straight line) than a stock WRX at the time the SRT-4 came out. And yes, it is lame. But, that is my point. The Neon might have been quicker, but it sucks. Even though the WRX was slower, most people preferred it to the SRT-4. It's not all about track or 0-60 times.
I didn't know this thread was still going, but whatever. I'll reply. I never talked about ultimate power potential or out-of-box handling. Don't put words into my mouth. Everyone knows the Evo handles better out of the box. What most don't realize is that a factory set of springs can change that. Subaru decided that they wanted a little more friendly of a car that more people would buy. It worked. They lost out on the mag comparos but what do you see more of on the road and on the track? Subaru's, by far. Maybe I AM a little biased since all I've heard about for the last few years is about how the Evo is 100000x better than the Subaru's which is always from complete retards who wouldn't know their ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to cars. And for that, I apologize.
cars Evo's are great, and STIs are Sexy. My roomate's always wanted an evo and I an sti. Wouldn't that be a great combo in the garage down the road??? FTW! Until then we now have in our garage, a WRX and he has a Focus SVT Not bad for a couple of 22 year olds that work hard for what we gots!
