I just ordered up some CLD Tiles and Butyl Rope from Don over at Sound Deadener Showdown as well as a set of Crescendo CCX65 component speakers for the front.

I already have an Alpine CDA-105 Head Unit installed. I could cover install of a head unit if anyone wants to see it.

Due to budget constraints this will be a phased project. Future phases may include:
    • Big 3 Upgrade
    • Custom Underseat Subwoofer and Amp setup
    • Amplifier for Front Stage
    • Mass Loaded Vinyl
I'll have more to post when everything arrives. Shouldn't be long.

I have a HiFonics Zeus ZX6400 4 channel amp I have no use for. It would be perfect to bi-amp those ccx's.

The rest of the supplies came today! The CLD Tiles and Butyl rope from SoundDeadenerShowdown.com and some miscellaneous supplies from Home Depot and RadioShack.

The sound dampening supplies arrive well packaged. I am excited to put these to use. I think they will provide some much needed dampening in the door.

This install will be a fairly temporary install until I get an amp for the speakers so I didn't go crazy with nice terminals and wire. I just got some basic Ring and Pin Terminals for terminating the speaker wire, as well as some Tap-In Connectors so I can keep the stock speaker terminals in case I ever want to go back to stock. I also picked up some heat shrink to help weather proof the connections and keep them labled +/- a bit better.

The Tap-In Connectors only support 22-18 Gauge wire and the stock wiring is 20 or 22-gauge so I went with 18-gauge wire for the run wires from the tap. I went with In-Wall style cable as it was copper, and rated for outdoor use. Home Depot sold it by the foot so I could avoid purchasing 50ft of 18-gauge wire and then only use 5 foot of it.
