Ok.. I installed an alpine deck in my car.. works great... all I need now is someone with a video ipod to test to see if my ipod is the issue or not... Taras plugged his in and works fine... plug my 60gb video ipod and it only plays on the right side....
Yeah but I'm not and we can't do anything about that can we? 1) Taras's worked fine? 2) Did you try it after yours again?
Taras is a shuffle... mine is a video... so not sure if maybe there is a difference I dont know till I try another video ipod... also went to apple store today they couldnt figure it out....
I was thinking, bring your ipod to the chipotle meet if I drive my car I have an alpine in my car we could test with. bring the cable that goes from the ipod to the alpine.

I have an aux cable hooked up, is that the same thing? I don't think it is, but either way it takes like 1 min to pull the radio out.. I would say 5 min from sitting in the car to testing it to having it back together
Yeah you have to have a specific Alpine deck to use the cable those bought within the last year or two will more than likely have this option on them. My last car had an Alpine from 04 and it had to use a special adapter and a RCA to mini to hook my Ipod up. The new ones plug into the back of the deck and then plug into the bottom of your Ipod thus letting you scroll through your Ipod via the deck interface.
well, I just had a big brain fart. I origianly bought an alpine, but I sold that to russ and bought a pioneer.
mine has a cable that plugs right into the back of it.... I will see what happens with curly's on friday if we hook up.... and its a GERBEL... guinea pigs are too large... not for some though

they wouldnt... mine is out of warranty and older model... wanted me to pay $150 and hand mine in to get the same ipod back refurbished.. I laughed at him... I said other then the alpine stereo issue mine has NEVER had any issues why would I pay $150 for something older and refurbished..... whatever... I will just sell or trade mine with someone who has the same one and doesn't need the connection to a deck
