Like the title says I'm looking to put some epic engineering springs on and need a spring compressor. If anyone has one I could use or I could bring to someone to have done.
location and car? bugeye? A lot of aftermarket springs don't require spring compressors for install. You don't really need spring compressors to remove GD wrx oem springs either. It's not like a honda accord with 50-foot long springs and 10 billion coils.

point it away from your face, it'll pop off, but it won't throw your impact across the yard. But yea, I almost always disassemble subaru struts by pointing the top towards a wall, and zip the nut off with an impact.
If you're still cautious about it and have a ride, check in with a local auto parts store such as Autozone. The spring compressor rental is technically free as long as you don't break it or lose it.
I have two spring compressors located in Lakeville. Shoot me a PM if you want to borrow, I would just need some sort of deposit so I know they will get returned
Leave the hat bolted to the strut tower, jack up the hub until it's slightly compressed, undo the top nut, jack down slowly. Spring becomes uncompressed, hat stays behind. Remove hat. A bit safer than pieces flying across the room. You won't need to compress aftermarket springs to install them.
Ive used a couple of tires a couple of times, you put the assembled strut with the impact on the nut, between the tires. you stand on one and either have the other tire against a wall, or have a friend stand on it. and zip it off. the tires absorb the impact. and yeah like sheen said if they are lowering springs most of the time you don't even need a compressor to put them on....or just go rent/borrow one.
