I just bought my cousins 2003 WRX and I'm turning it into a project car. The engine has just over a 100k in miles, and I was exploring options of having it rebuilt or just buying a new engine. From what I can remember, the engine mounts are the same for the STI engine, correct me if I'm wrong. Should I go the rebuild route, anyone have any shops that they would recommend?

you should be fine rebuilding the 2.0l unless you want more. depends on how much of a project you want. ej25 is a good swap, pretty straight forward. otherwise you could build a ej22t and do tons of things. high boost/big displacement (2.65l)/mix both w/ the 2.35 stroker. lotsa of options, subaru are like legos you can pretty much mix and match. what do you want out of this project?
