Has anyone played this? Im dowloading it for the PC right now. Wondering if its any good. I guess I will find out in about an hour. Im just wondering if there is full customization of cars in this game?

I've only played the Demo on XBOX but its really insane - Hard....Those cars give you the adrenaline rush before you even drive them. Anyhow my demo didn't get as far as customization.

Yeah theres customization, if you don't have a PC steering wheel or a controller don't even bother trying to play it.

I thought it was pretty sweet on PS3

Played the demo on xbox, thought it was lame. Very arcady imo, although people claim one can tweak the controls to be more realistic. Somewhat similar to Grid.

It's terrible. I liked the driving in the other NFS games, that was arcady. shift every car just slides everywhere unless you use every assist in the game, which is stupid. I prefer more sim like games, Forza 3 for instance (where driving with no assists is fun and actually helps fast drivers like myself).

I have it for PS3 and have been playing it a bunch lately. It is indeed difficult - I just turned off all of the driver aids and it has taken some getting used to. That being said, it is a lot of fun, in particular the points system. You can tweak cars a bunch, but it's generic stuff like "racing exhaust" and whatnot. There is the normal slew of suspension/gearing/etc adjustments as well.

yes but its unrealistic in the way it's hard. It's poor physics make it so you are fighting the game instead of fighting yourself.

I played it on PS3, seemed pretty fun. Didn't really think there was anything too special about it though, pretty much your typical driving/racing/upgrade the cars game. :dunno: It was fun though.

I've heard it sucks.. then again i'm not much of a NFS fan, if u just wanna be a ricer it's ok, but i'd much rather play Gran Turismo or Forza.. something more realistic...

Grid is just as bad as shift. GT and forza are still the best.

Grid is better then shift, but thats not saying much. Grid is more like, hyper aggressive physics, instead of hyper skid physics.

Grid is immensely fun with a wheel online with friends. But it still is nowhere near the quality of Forza or GT as previously stated by Goalie.

Much much better, especially with a wheel/pedal.

Yes, GT and Forza are better, but neither are available on PC (get on that, Goalie :)).

Man I wish there were PC builds, can you imagine the MODS?! but yeah GT and forza on PC, will never happen.

Just wait until you see GT in 3D

It is, give it a shot. You will probably love it.

One great feature is the multiple ways you're able to play the game while always beefing up your garage and experience. Whether you do quick play, where you can race any car in the game right from the beginning, career mode where you start with nothing, or multiplayer where you can also choose any car, you're always earning and unlocking new stuff and it keeps you going.

Plus the paint system is amazing, and the tuning is pretty good. Forza 3 is a great game.
