Anyone here interested in helping me install my springs? I'm offering high fives and cool drinks. Any takers?

If you end up doing it on wednesday or friday, let me know. I have only done this once on a honda but I wouldn't mind being around for it since I will be doing the same thing on my car at some point. Got those wheels on yet?

Sure do, and they're looking good. I don't think I'll have to do too much alteration to the wheel wells either.

I'd love to come and see how to do them. Never have done them myself and they're something I would like to do very soon :)

high fives, I love high fives! Seriously though, when are you going to do the install? I've done a spring install on my STi and one on my old G35...STi was much easier. I'm no expert by any means, but I've done it before. How big of a drop are you doing? I have spring compressors...a must have for this install. My only problem is that my schedule sucks.

Sring compressors are only needed for front springs on the WRX/STi. The rears are somewhat of a progressive rate spring and will come apart by just taking the nut off the mount. It won't spring back at you.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised by that when I did my install...even my front's weren't bad on the STi, but the G35 front springs would have killed someone for sure:)

Front's can cause some damage if your not ready for it. I've taken WRX's apart with no compressors....that's pretty risky. They launched the struts out pretty hard, but they didn't go very far.

When I released the ones of the Outback for the sake of things I ended up having to retrieve the strut mount from the next door neighbours yard.....there was a fence blocking it to start with. Not that the fence meant much in the end.

Where are you in mpls? I might stop by depending on location and time. I even have spring sompressor that I recently rented from Autozone and did not return so far...

If anyone is local to me and needs it I can do the following: Springs swaps, full suspension swaps, Tire mounting/rotating/swapping, tire balancing and complete alignments including camber and toe. All very quickly and resonably priced. And I've never damaged anyones rims or lips to date

my schedule sucks too. I'm pretty much only available friday after 5 and on saturday. And to make matters worse I need to come to your house. This type of deal wouldn't work in a loft/garage setup... yeah, so maybe a pizza too.
