So most of you remember my wagon that I sold, which i Still miss. Now has the time come I can again afford another subaru. My dilemia is that I am stuck between three cars. All the owners know I wont be buying it for about another month. In good shape. I have gotten the price to 7700. ---------------------------------------- 2. Holsters GC8. Everyone knows that car. http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30643 I love that car. Everything about it. I have talked to him about it. My only concern is the Forester Tranny because I am going to want to make a little bit more power than where its at now. ------------------------- Car 3. 2002 PSM WRX 117k vf39 (ported to eliminate creep) sti topmount 06 wrx injectors (560cc) Gutted Factory Up-pipe Random Tech bellmouth Down-pipe Random Tech catted mid-pipe Helix catback Green air filter Air box silencer delete ECUteK protuned at 19 psi Drivetrain - STI motormounts 04 STI 6-speed tranny Surtrac front LSD Manual DCCD (center diff) controller Carbotec Bobcat brake pads Goodrich Stainless Steel brake lines Suspension - Kartboy shifter bushings Tein Flex's Whiteline front adjustable sway bar (24-26 mm) Whiteline Front endlinks Ingalls Camber bolts (front) -2.7 degrees of camber Whiteline Rear adjustable sway bar (22-24-26 mm) Whiteline Heavy Duty sway bar mount Kartboy Rear end links Whiteline adjustable Lateral links Wheels/tires - 18x9 37 offset SSR SP1 professors 245-35-18 toyo T1R's wheels/tires have 1500 miles on them. Perfect shape. 5% tint boost and oil temp gauges on a-pillar. Interior - 9/10 The car is in great shape, and is everything I am looking for, especially with the 6 speed. That is the main reason I want it. So when I do an sti swap in a few years I dont have to worry about a tranny. Now I have gotten him down significantly on his price as well. But its still more that the rest by a couple thousand. With that said I didnt want to spend as much but, I am willing to on this car only. Due the the 6speed. Because inevitably I would probably swap that into the other two cars as well. Which ever car I am going to buy I will use for autox and maybe even get to the road course once. I have a truck for a second vehicle as well. So my question is which car would you buy and why. I am having a hard time making up my mind. FYI i am paying cash, so getting a loan is not apart of the equation.
Car 3 At the price we have discussed the ssr wheels dont come with. But I came with a counter offer, and am Awaiting his reply.
What is your price range? What will the car be used for (DD, weekend racer, etc)? In all honesty, I personally would shy away from purchasing someone else's project car.
It would be my weekend racer and DD. I would dd during the summer, but only drive once in awhile during the winter, since I have my truck. Edit: My price range is at about 10k or so. I dont really want to spend more, but can if I need too.
car two or three, I 'd take the third car just due to the fact that it has a newer body and everything and the six speed tranny is just sexy and bullet proof.
My vote goes to #3 only because of the 6-speed though. I loath my 5mt. If it wasn't for that I'd say #2 for sure.
I think I have decided to go with choice number 3. I have a buddy interested in Holsters car so i may get to see it all the time anyways. lol. I have been dealing with the guy on the wrx with the 6speed. so as long as everything goes to plan. thats one I will buy.
