i might have an older one in the basement at home. let me look and let you know tomarrow.
iirc it was a bosch. kind of a entrylevel one, but it should work ok for low volume stuff.

are you going to do a hood painting of an Aztec warrior standing on a pyramid with two barely clothed maidens clutching at each leg looking wistfully and proudly into the distance?

because if you aren't I don't see the point in airbrushing anything =]

Do you have an air compressor? If so, just go get a paint gun at Menards for 20 bucks.

for coating headers, i think a paintgun would be the way to go.

yeah, a cheap hopper gun would work good. They are pretty low pressure compared to automotive style sprayers. The paint goes in a bottle above the spray nozzle, not underneath.

I was going to say to get a water separator for your compressor too, but they're more expensive than I thought, maybe just a cheap filter before the spray gun would help a bit.

nice find. i love harbor freight. i go at least once a week. as for the filter, where does it tie into the compressor? do they make compressor specific filters?

I would but a couple of extra quick-connect fittings and put those onto the filter, so you can add and remove it as needed. Then I would use it at the end of the air hose, right before the gun. The filters I'm thinking of filter the air coming out of the compressor, not going in, so they're not compressor specific.

On the fittings, spend the extra little bit to get the better ones, I just buy the name-brand ones at menards, and use all the same brand, there's nothing worse than leaking fittings, it drives me nuts. And use some teflon tape when putting the fittings on.

I have a spray gun you can use. It might need new filters. its a HVLP(high volume low pressure) gun, I used it to paint my bumper. let me know
