    Hi peeps, Billy here..

My friend Peter (Rabbit) refer me to this site. I have been doing some digging around here and found some good info already. Keep up the good work!

I am completely new to Subaru and AWD, so any suggestions/comments are greatly appreicated. I have been do some reading on here and several other forums, but there are so much to learn!! Also, I came from the Nissan and RWD scene, so please pardon me from any "noob" comments in the future

I just recently picked up a black 05 Legacy GT non-limited 5MT last weekend. It's stock except for the AP v2 w/ Stage 1 map. First impression? Wow.. It's a lot more refined than my old 240sx. My closest encounter with a luxury sport car was my SC300, and that's a far cry from luxury...LOL.. I am looking forward to some events with it in the future (with some foot work of course)

I do have a couple of questions though. I have been debating between open ECU tuning vs AP. My goal for the power upgrade is just a simple stage 2 (Open panel intake, BOV (Yes, there is a ricer in me, and I like the sound of it, deal with it ), catless up, catted dp, full catback (thanks Taras)). I want the benefit of easy access to professional/enthusiast tuning. Honestly, I don't really see the benefit of me having the AP. Plus, I don't really see many Protuner in MN. Any thoughts?

With the above said, who is capable of doing a open ECU tune? I heard bullwinkle is really good. Anyone else? And what's the basic charge for such service?

I have been reading about the GM boost soldenid. I understand that it has been discontinued. I heard Shibbs might have some left?

Also, I came across this thread about Turbo Oil Supply Banjo Bolt Filter Removal. http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61689. Would this be necessary? Pros and Cons?

I am looking forward to meeting some of you in the future. Keep up the good work guys and gals.

    Billy

    Welcome!

Best advice - AWD will help you get going on the slippy stuff... tires are the important bit for stopping and turning.

Have any pics of your leggy?

been past it once in over a year.. dont care.. as long as they keep paying their payments.. ha ha ha

yeah it is a lower traffic area, but with the reputation of the other shops in town, if they dont be like them they can build a good rep

Nathan, you may be happy to know that when you left, so did a few of your better customers.

Matt down at ARC was getting a pretty good chunk of your old business.

Haven't heard anything as of the last few months tho.

    How do you know Matt???

I know he was getting business cause he charged like $50 .hr and no mark up on parts... then that changed when he got too busy... ha ha that was when he left our shop.. I guess you men after we sold it???

he tried to run our shop like his, and we wondered why we lost a lot of money with him in charge..ha ha... 2bay mentality in a 6working bay Franchise doesnt work... I like Matt a lot... still drop by occasionally to say hi etc..
