So today I was on the phone with Scuba Steve asking how to take the factory boost gauge off, he told me how then said not to take it off. Well me trying to be Mr. Fix It and recalibrate the needle I ruined my gauge. So I took a trip to the local auto parts store, and before you say it I know! "You bought an Autometer??" Well it was there and I feel with my luck I needed to have something. The only problem so far is there was no pictures online how to take everything apart, so now I feel bad I didn't do a write up. Ohh well here are the pics, I also installed the green condom I'm excited to see how it looks at night.

    It was reading right, I don't know I'm picky. I should have listened to Dave. On the other hand I did want something bigger and in PSI.

    Electrical tape! Saved money on a gauge pod, the tape was free.

    I wanted to have PSI instead of millipascals even though I deal with millipascals everyday at school. In my tool box all torn apart, it might be usable :dunno:

    :laugh::laugh: Because!

    eeep... I prefer the stocker to random aftermarket gauges (GeNome guages are the exception). I cant stand white guages.

    good use of electrical tape

    It's actually brushed aluminum look :cool: The stocker is just a swinging arm that has little to no accuracy, all in all I got tired of the stocker.

    Yeah I wanted a black one, but the silver is growing on me. I'm sure alot of people on here have cheap or knock off gauges.

    I have an AutoMeter. I have the electrical one though. Cost me abouts $200. Came with a 2bar(I think) MAP and wires and STUFF. It's the AutoMeter Sport Comp.

    I like it. It's a HIGHER trim. Reads in psi...30psi. muahahaa

    It looks shoddy, and you should probably wrap the hose/wires with something to protect them and make it look, oh, i dont know, like you care about doing semi quality work.

    They hose and wires are wrapped. I used the same tubing as the stocker used, you just can't see it in the pic. I used the stock mount, I knew when I started it would be shoddy.

    Fair enough. As long as you knew before hand it would look shoddy, I guess that's cool then.

    This sounds contradicting to me. I have a stocker and it's a white gauge...?

    See I knew you would say that, The Autometer is a temporary gauge till I get my Maddad or Defi's. Don't worry things will get better.

    ^ the WRB GDs look the best w/ CF parts imo. MNAuto's car looked great w/ cf hood/trunk.

    This.

    The only Silver car I saw that looked good with a composite hood/trunk or whatever was that guy on Nasioc that had the silver kevlar hood and trunk...and even that is a stretch. I only liked it because it didn't look as awful as black carbon weave on Silver.
