Haider I have been around the forum for a little bit thought I post my car officially. Last month I was lucky enough to find a member(9-2xforums) selling his 9-2X Aero in the Minneapolis area and I took the opportunity and setup a meeting and bought it. Hoping to see you local guys out in events and get advices anyone from the Eden Prairie area?

Here is a few pics of it on the night I got her

Noooo. Its halfassed mounted into center column. I hate it. I don't have a subscription for it. I've read briefly that it may be a pita to swap out orignial stereo with any aftermarket. I am wondering though.. this xm has an audio input 1/8th inch. Can I run an ipod into it and through the stereo with no subscription to sirius?

Was reading up on a diy audio jack install so I can remove the xm but there is no inexpensive kit. There is one some guy makes that is basically a small pcboard with an audio input and few sockets to wire up into the stereo unit. Might have to take a trip to axman or radioshack.

That might work too. Or you could just swap out the stock unit. I was thinking of upgrading mine to a different head unit you could buy mine ;). There are few videos on youtube on how to swap out your stereo.

I will look more into it. When I first attempted a DIY stereo swap in my 97 impreza it quickly turned to OMG. Tried to just hard wire it and solder. Lost all interior lights. Had to replace illumination module. Ended up getting an amazon adapter and worked like a charm.

Gonna fidget with the XM as soon as I can swallow more coffee and get off my tuchus.

    2 questions..

    1. How much does all 4 wheel dippin' run?

    2. Any idea how to adjust headlight? The bulb is aimed wayyyy down and causing the light to spread up high. Cranked on the 8mm adjuster for a bit that one appears to be the high beam adjuster.

    1. I got the package from dipyourcar.com and it costed me 70$ with shipping price incluedes sprayer attachment which was 6$ extra. It came with masking bags which I didnt really need, would be handy if you were spraying with your wheels on the car. But the other stuff was useful.

    2. I never did it on mine but I think this is exactly what your looking for:

The link for dip was great, thank you! I have read that thread about 16 times now and still cannot find that elusive screw in core support. I will just take out the sawzal after work and see what I can find! :D thanks for reply!

AC IS TOTALLY FUBAR! I checked it a few days ago. Compressor didn't turn on. Figured it must be hella low. I checked pressure on low side. Read 0 psi.... Decided to get some r134a and charge it up. Emptied full can. Ran system. Blew cold air. Worked great. Fixed head light too! Turned AC on after work around 3pm and was not working. Checked low side pressure and back to 0 psi. I am going to see my subaruguru guy soon and see if he can do some pressure test. Fill with nitrogen, find leak. Then I will replace all the o rings and hope it isn't the evaporator, refill and test. Such a pain in the ass. I was hoping to get started on maintenance right away. Timing, fluids, wheel bearings, brakes, gauge pod  and some flaps. Looks like I might just be fidgeting with the minor crap this weekend and getting to the rest soon..
