Has anyone ever tried any parts from this company?? I was searching for a new intake manifold and ran across one that they make, but wanted to get some imput before I purchase anything.
I know people making 600+ whp with the factory manifold. Not worth the money unless you are going all kinds of crazy, imo. If I were to buy such a thing, obx would not be my first choice. Maybe I am missing something here, but I don't see why it would only work with the STI and not the WRX... It is all about having a plan and goals for yourself and the car, not just throwing parts at it. (trust me, I know )
I am not sure either. Thats why I was asking around. Oh, and thanks for the tail lights... Only one problem. I got pulled over on my way home, come to find out moleness forgot to plug the wire harness together. LOL Thanks again man
You are welcome! And yeah, you can always count on me to mess up silly little stuff...sorry about that, lol. I hope they were nice about it.
OBX is better than most cheap knock-off products......but that's exactly what they are, not quite as good as the stuff they immitate.
Kinda late to the party here, but I'll throw my $0.02 into it. I've never tried OBX stuff for a Subie, but have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Mazda Miata Items of theirs I've bought. My polished stainless cat-back from them is an exact copy of the Magnaflow system, cost 40% less, and has held up flawlessly for the past 6 years. I have a crank pulley from them as well for the same car and other than the box it came in, it's indistiguishable from the Unorthodox pulley for twice the price. I have heard good reviews of their headers for Miatas too, and intend to purchase one this spring.
no first hand account but good results from other swedespeed members on the s60r/v70r's, good quality given price, fitment is decent as well.
Update: I recently bought an OBX short-shift lever for my GC. Build quality is great and fitment is spot on. My only complaint is that the pivot point is too high causing the throws to be way too short. As a result, the lever requires too much effort and is notchy and rough feeling. My opinion is that the construction is perfect but the design lacks refinement. Had they placed the pivot point about halfway between stock and where they chose, it'd have been perfect. For $45 though, I feel it was still at least worth a try.
