so cobb has maps running 91 octane, and 93 octane...

I've been running a 91 octane stock cobb map,
all gas I put in is 92 octane (or better if and where I can find it)
would there be a hazard in running a 93 octane map

whats the main difference in maps?
and what would the repercussions be?

    also...
I have heard that a stock turbo can handle a fairly large boost,
is 20psi on a stock 06 sti turbo safe? (currently running 17.. would like to bump it up a bit)

and along with running more boost, do I need to bump up the fuel?

    1) I haven't looked at the cobb maps, but I would guess the only differences in the maps is timing. You can run more with higher octane gas. If you log, you can run any map you want. The E10 gas here is pretty good.

    2) I'm sure the VF39 can run 20 psi through the mid range no problem. However, you might be limited by your intercooler, WG actuator, and gas. To run more boost, yes you'll need more fuel, and most likely lower timing (although this depends on your intercooler).
