I am looking for a second oem tow hook so I can tie down a canoe to my car without ruining my bumpers. I am hoping someone has one I can buy or possibly borrow for the weekend. I am guessing all of them are the same thread but i have a 2011 Wrx.

You can borrow mine if you would like. My car is going to be in the garage this weekend. Not sure where you live, I am in North St Paul. I plan on trying to make it out to Calhoun tonight. Otherwise, Thursday night I am helping a member with his headlights in my garage.

Sweet, I'll be at the meet tonight as well. If it doesn't work tonight for some reason, I can meet you over in your neck of the woods.

Please take some pics with the canoe on it as I 'am thinking how not to ruin my bumbers as well. I thought about the toe hook idea but have not tried it yet. You might be o.k with just the front??

The only thing i am worried about is the tow hooks are on opposite sides of the car so it might cause the boat to sit slightly sideways. I will take pictures when I get it mounted.

I would think just the one in front would be fine, I have not tried it yet but I was going to push the canoe to more on the
passenger side and just tie down the front on the toe hook and use the yakima canoe rack with the straps. I dont know how far your going but I was planning on making it to the BWCA that way?

How did the move go? Any issues with the canoe moving around?

The move went well. There were a lot of side winds going up from Madison and being on the interstate going 75 mph didnt help but we made it alright. I have gunwale brackets but I couldn't fit them up front because of conflicts with the size of the canoe and the fairing/tower location. That led to a bit of sideways play on the canoe. I took pictures and i will send them to you tonight.
